To be in to win unleash your inner-film director to make a stand out video, upload it to YouTube and send us your entry form.
Christchurch City Libraries is giving you the chance to get your very own 15 minutes of YouTube fame. A host of prizes are up for grabs including a laptop computer, a Sony camcorder, an iPhone and hundreds of dollars worth of vouchers with our very first YouTube competition – to celebrate a phenomenal 150 years of public library service in Christchurch.

Judging
Christchurch City Libraries will select the best 6 videos in each category. An expert judging panel will select the winners from each category. The Libraries and the judging panel will be looking for creativity and original ideas.
Screening and awards event
Winners will be announced at a special screening event on 7 August 2009. The winning videos will be featured and publicised on library150.com website and shown throughout the library network.

The Rules
- You must be over 10 years old to enter
- Children under the age of 13 years must be signed up to a YouTube account by a parent, caregiver, or teacher
- You must be a resident of Christchurch
- Your video should be 1 to 3 minutes long
- Your video must include the following:
- A scene in or outside a Christchurch City Libraries library
- The word "libraries" or “library”
- Video content must be suitable for a general audience
- Entrants in the kids category must have read guidelines on safe internet usage
- Entrants agree to operate within the YouTube terms of usage
- Entrants observe YouTube copyright rules
Uploading materials that you do not own is a copyright violation and is against the law. Do not upload any TV shows, music videos, music concerts, or commercials without permission.
