    Yard and buildings at Armagh Street, May 1932. At bottom left is the wooden stave tank used to store water for the tepid baths. Destructor chimney at right, and below it is the destructor ramp which leads into the original building housing the destructor and steam plant. The building to the left of the destructor ramp is the converter station, constructed in 1914 and rebuilt in 1932-33. Christchurch. A City of Light, p. 64.
