A collaboration between Christchurch City Libraries and the University of Canterbury, School of Fine Arts to create a documentary photographic record of Bishopdale and surrounds in 2017. Thomas Herman, Liam Lyons, Elise Williams, Janneth Gil and Lucas Perelini from the School of Fine Arts created a body of photographic images of people and the physical and social environment, a unique collection that reflects the diversity of the Bishopdale area in 2017.
Photography students from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts photographed the people and the physical environment of Bishopdale from March through to August 2017.
The Christchurch Documentary Project is a collaboration between Christchurch City Libraries and the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts to create a documentary photographic record of communities across our city. Each year, photography students from the School of Fine Arts photograph the people and physical and social environment of a community, building an archive of images for generations to come.
