- Notes Bishopdale elephant slide in playground of Bishopdale Park. The elephant slide has become a icon for the community since it was built in the late 1970s. Corner of Harewood Road and Leacroft Street.

- Parent Collection Description A collaboration between Christchurch City Libraries and the University of Canterbury, School of Fine Arts to create a documentary photographic record of Bishopdale and surrounds in 2017. Thomas Herman, Liam Lyons, Elise Williams, Janneth Gil and Lucas Perelini from the School of Fine Arts created a body of photographic images of people and the physical and social environment, a unique collection that reflects the diversity of the Bishopdale area in 2017.
